IIS installation on Windows 7

by | Apr 19, 2011 | Microsoft | 0 comments

After a few hours of searching I finally found it! The thing was simple – run web site on my PC with IIS. Ok it’s nothing complicated… Well, after installation and a lot of changes to configuration I can’t display anything in a browser. What’s going on??? Even default site which is installed during IIS activation is empty: no text, images. Nothing. Ok after a few hours I found the solution. When I install  new service, I always try install what is really needed. So I didn’t include “Static content” in Common Http features. And without it IIS doesn’t work properly. When I’ve added it all works fine.
